Mac App Reviews & Apple News
I'm a 20 year Mac user veteran, writer, photographer, wife, and mommy. I live in sunny San Diego with my husband, three children, two dogs, one mean old cat, and an SUV with a back seat full of beach sand.

Poll: How Many Macs, iPods Have You Purchased?
Of course, those of us who are more, uh, um, “mature” may have purchased more Macs than most. Years adds a lot to a life—and to the Mac collection.
There was the first 128k Mac with a printer. $2,495. And a cute little “bomb” that showed up on screen whenever the Mac crashed.
That was quickly replaced with a 512ke. The first “e”Mac? Then a Mac Plus (not exactly a creative name). A Mac SE, a handful of Mac IIs, and the list goes on. Our poll on Macs only goes up to “Five or more” so I’m in that category.
How about iPods?
As I thought about all the Macs on my list, I also came to realize that in the three years or so Apple’s had iPods, I’ve purchased my fair share of them. The first 5 gigabyte iPod, then a 10 gig, then a couple of 20 gig models.
Of course, I don’t still have them all. They’ve been handed down to kids, who in turn, hand them off to close family friend’s kids.
Interestingly, all the iPods still work (after three years for some) and there’s never been a need to replace the battery. Right now my SO and I share an iPod photo model (but the engraved mini is in the car).
How about you? How many Macs have you bought through the years? How about iPods? More than one? Two? Planning to get an iPod shuffle?
As usual, there’s no cost, obligation, or special consideration. You may select more than one answer, but vote only once per day. Or, click the Comments link below (still anonymous) and share your multiple Mac and iPod experiences with other readers.
