Mac “journalism” was sinking even faster until Bambi and Tera jumped in..

Tera,

I’m in the middle of a production crunch, but I just had to take a moment out and say that I wish you the best outcome for your illness/condition/situation. Get well soon and come on back as soon as you can. We do miss you and our thoughts are with you. Take strength from all of those who are expressing their love for you on this board.

Request update on Tera, please.  Are the “get well soon” prayers working?  Is the forecast favorable?  Does she have a PowerBook and dark chocolate within easy reach?

[size=3]Request update on Tera, please.

The last Update looks like it’s from a week ago. No news since.

Is no news still good news?

I talked with Tera on the phone this morning. She sounded very tired but had a list of upcoming articles she wants to do. And a list of things she wants me to do.

That’s a good sign.

Thanks for the update!  I don’t know if I’d look forward to a Honey-do list with the same enthusiasm that you did, but it’s nice to know that Ms. Patricks is on her way back from the brink.  Good news!

Wishing Tera a speedy recovery. Mac360 is one of my favorite sites. It took some motivation (read: the iPod Nano giveaway) to get
me from lurking to actually posting, but I wanted to let the Mac360 staff know that I really enjoy their hard work on this site.

No offense to Bambi, but it’s just not the same without you Tera. I check every day to see if you are back, but alas no Tera yet. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Deep down we all know you will be back, but until then it is really hard to fill the void. Get well soon.

I check nearly every day- for Mac news, discussions- but mostly Tera news. The silence can be deafening. Hope all is well, and I join all those who wish you a speedy return and recovery.

How does the worsening condition of somebody who lives thousands of miles away, someone I have never met nor spoken with, touch me so deeply? question  I only discovered Tera’s site less than a year ago.  I was instantly intrigued by the young lady with the silvery outfit and hair.  She seemed to be right on track with her writings.  She always seemed to have the right mix of humor, sarcasm and technical knowledge to keep me coming back for more.

There are dozens of site on the net where I could have gone to seek out information on the Mac platform but, having found the best, why would I stray? The re-shaping of the site and the inclusion of Bambi as co-owner (or is it co-contributor… or maybe co-author or   co-whatever) only made the site better than before.  The barbs that flew between Tera and Bambi always brought a smile to my face.  You could tell how much they respected and admired one another.

As with most of the other frequent visitors to this site, I don’t know the particulars of Tera’s apparently worsening condition.  However, I am deeply saddened to know that such a bright flame is slowly being extinguished.

I said a silent prayer for you this morning, my friend.  Fight the good fight.  You have made a difference in the lives of many strangers.  You have made your mark and I pray that you will continue to do so. We are all pulling for you.
