It was just a couple decades ago that the Mac stood at the center of desktop publishing and spawned a new generation of creative tools for expression.

Users get to send updates, similar to mini posts on a blog, up to 140 characters long, visa SMS, instant messaging, the Twitter website, or by using an application on your Mac—Twitterific.

When you make an update, to publish or “tweet” on Twitter, your message gets displayed on your profile page and delivered to others, ostensibly friends or family, who have signed up to receive your messages.

It’s sort of like walking through the day, all day, everyday, and saying, “Can you hear me now? I’m over here.” And telling everyone you know that you’re, well, over there.
