Double Poll: Most Popular iLife Application And Browser?

iLife Mac OS X comes with a rich variety of applications to enhance your computing experience. From the iLife suite of applications to browsing, the Mac is loaded and ready.

iLife alone is responsible for many new Mac customers coming from the Windows world. Safari is now considered one of the best browsers available; Mac or PC. What’s your view? Check out today’s Mac360 Poll.

About a year ago we posed these very same choices to early adopter Mac360 readers. Are things different a year later? Or the same?

First, iLife: From iTunes for your music, syncing your iPod, and connecting to the iTunes Music Store, all the way to GarageBand where you make the music that iTunes plays (sometimes), Apple’s iLife suite of applications is unlike anything you’ll find in the Windows world.

What’s your favorite iLife application? Is it the latest addition to the suite, GarageBand? It could be if you’re very musically inclined and have a hit CD somewhere in your talent genes. Is it the ubiquity of iTunes (like ChickenMan, “It’s everywhere, it’s everywhere!”) and how it works seamlessly with the iPod and iTunes Music Store?

Yes, iTunes IS a part of the iLife suite of applications. Click Here for a list of the iLife applications; iTunes is included.

Next, photos. Digital cameras have come of age and the budled iPhoto does a great job (now, it took awhile to get the speed up to speed) of holding and organizing your digital photos.

Fewer Mac users are into video the same way, yet iMovie packs a few high-end punches and provides the capability to create credible movies. Which, by the way, is what you need to use iDVD with any Mac that has a SuperDrive.

So, what’s your favorite iLife application?

Wait. This is a double poll today, so you get a chance to vote again. What’s your favorite browser on Mac OS X? Looking our site’s server logs it’s obvious that there’s a winner, still CHOICE is what it’s all about and the major browsers for Mac OS X all have different flavors.

Safari’s speed and elegance compares favorably with Camino’s extra features. Mozilla’s a standard browser workhorse and multiplatform, as is the speedier cousin, Firefox (formerly Firebird, Phoenix et al).

The Mac may only have less than 5-percent of the personal computer market, but major browsers abound. What’s your favorite browser?

Rock today’s vote with your clicks in the Double Poll. Which iLife application is your favorite? For you, which Mac OS X browser is most popular? All you have to do is Click Here.

Biggest surprise? What happened to Microsoft Internet Explorer on the Mac? Biggest non-surprise? iTunes.

Last year we ran the a similar Mac360 reader poll. To view last years results, all you have to do is Click Here.
