iPod Poll: Which iPod Will You Buy? shuffle, regular, photo?

I’ve bought enough iPods to make Steve Jobs give me some kind of award. Or another iPod. I’d take that.

A few years ago I bought one of the 5 gig models and started the iTunes-to-iPod adventure run. When iTunes Music Store hit the streets (so to speak) I was there with a new iPod.

iPod mini? Got a silver engraved model for my “significant other.” iPod photo? Yep. One of those, too. In between were other models that found their way to a couple of children (mine).

So, as an experienced iPod user, I wasn’t overly thrilled with the iPod shuffle announcement, other than hoping it would help Apple corner another chunk of the portable music player market that they don’t already dominate.

What’s your plan for an iPod? Ready for the shuffle? Plan to keep your current iPod AND get a shuffle for jogging?

How long are you willing to wait for a new iPod? It looks as if there are plenty of all the regular models, but no iPod shuffles anywhere to be found.

At $99 and $149 for the 512 meg and 1 gig models, respectively, the iPod shuffle is sure to be a big seller. I’m somewhat obligated to get them as gifts.

So, what’s on your iPod list for 2005? Got a need for the shuffle? Ready to step up to the iPod photo (awesome; just freakin’ awesome). Plan to wait for the next “G” generation iPod (due out soon, summer, fall, later).
