Mac Babes Have Come A Long Way, Baby.

BambiComputers are no longer a man’s world. I saw a Mac Genius at the Apple Store. She was tall, pretty, and knew what she was talking about. Why? Because, we’ve come a long way, baby. Here’s a babe’s perspective on Macs, computers, web sites, and forums.

Yes, forums. We’ve got one of those, too, thanks to some hard work by Tera. How? Aren’t computers supposed to be a man’s domain? Yes. That’s the way it was. While we’ve all been waiting for Microsoft to stumble and Apple pick up the pieces, women in computers have been coming along nicely (Carly Fiorina not withstanding).

Tera has accepted me as a partner in all things Mac on Mac360. While I’ve written some articles before, now I have more opportunity to discuss the world of Apple, Mac, and iPods, and Apple software, and iLife, and, well, you get the picture.

How? Forums. They’re right here.

While Apple has been humming along and cranking out new products, new surprises, new market share, more sales, and more profits, the three babes at Mac360 have been cranking out some new goodies for Mac users and Mac360 readers.

The new Forums are an addition to Mac360 as of just a day or so ago, so now’s your chance to sail through NuBee status and become a Power User or Hard Core forum groupie in nothing flat. Tera, Alex, and I have been doing Macs for a long, long, time. Tera since the very beginning of Macdom.

We have a perspective on all things Mac, Apple, and iPod that we think you’ll like. If so, you can share yours with us. If not, you get a chance to tell us and everyone else exactly what you think.

Oh, if you’re a guy, it’s ok to join in the fun and share your knowledge and experience. Voice your opinion on Tera’s Titillating Topic of the Day.

Check out the Lounge with Back Seat Bambi. It’s the forum where almost anything goes. In fact, I had to get a few things off my chest in the first installment. There’s more to come.

Do we know what we’re talking about?

Check us out and see for yourself. We know Macs. We know Mac software. We like Apple and the whole philosophy that reigns from One Infinite Loop in Cupertino, CA.

We’ll keep you up to date on Mac and Apple news, Apple Software and Hardware, the latest rumors, and more. There’s even a forum for technical support.

We promise to be informative, entertaining, sassy, yet respectful. When you join the Mac360 Forums you’ll have a chance to share some of yourself with everyone. Yep. That’s right. Avatars—those interesting little photos and graphics that say something about you.

Sound interesting? Check out Tera’s photo avatar. And mine. And Alex (fake), too.

Oh, one more thing. We’re proud to be able to develop Mac360 on a Mac and serve the site on a Mac. Even the forums run on a Mac and are fully integrated into the web site. While Tera always has an opinion on everything, we’ll make sure you get a dependable perspective on Mac product reviews, too.

Sound like fun? It is. It will be.

Click HERE for a look at the new forums. Login and voice your opinion. Anything else? Well, it’s a secret until the announcement, but one of the first 500 visitors to register and post, gets a chance to win an iPod.

Don’t tell anyone I told you.

Post your own Comment.
