Most of us who’ve been Mac users for a period of time have an easy life. No email viruses. No trojan horses. Things usually work, well, better. Not so for Windows users.
Windows users are in constant fits over something new that threatens eternal destruction of their computing life Why should they switch to Macs? The answers are numerous, yet many Windows users continue to hold fast to their fallacy.
It’s easy to say, “They just should.” Apple once devoted a whole advertising campaign and parts of Apple’s web site to get Windows and PC users to switch.
My favorite switcher is Fabiola Torres. Wow. What a great Mac user. The most notorious switcher, of course, is Ellen Feiss who loves both her Mac and cold medicine.
Apple’s web site runs through the list. From ‘it just works’ to ‘As easy as iPod’ (which also works on Windows PCs), Apple runs through the list of software and reasons why a PC user should switch.
Why choose a Mac? Apple has 10 pages and 10 major reasons. iLife is just one that you won’t find on a Windows PC.
I noticed the Apple ‘switch pages’ have bright colors, a simple layout, and larger print; possibly fewer syllables, too, but I didn’t actually stop to count.
Regardless, Mac users have it pretty good and Windows users know it, hear about it, read about it, but don’t really know just how good it can be. Why do you think Windows users should switch to a Mac?

By Jack D. Miller | I work for a US technology company in Paris, France and switched from Windows PCs to the Mac 12 years ago. My wife said it would improve our marriage, give us more friends, and reduce stress. It did.
