New Mac, New iPod, New iLife. What Did You Buy?

ExpoTuesday’s keynote brought plenty of Apple goodies to start the new year. Yes, there’s more to come so 2005 will prove to be a great Mac year.

Following the keynote and product introductions did you buy anything from Apple? Take the Mac user poll and let us know.

There was no shortage of products available almost instantly from the Apple Store online. Check the list. It was huge.

The rumored $500 Mac (dubbed the Mac mini) was the best rumor fullfilment I can remember in many Mac years. Did you order one from the Apple Store? Which one?

And how about those new iPods (dubbed the iPod shuffle). You get something to carry around extra files for safety and transfer AND you can listen to 240 songs-- in a row or randomly. Did you order a new iPod from the Apple Store? Which one?

It was a steady stream of Steveness for two hours. iLife ‘05 has finally matured and is worth more than the price of a new Mac mini (opinion piece; sorry Bill Palmer). Yes, I have iLife ‘04 and it works great.

$79? Did you order iLife ‘05 from the Apple Store?

How about iWork? That new suite of apps combines Keynote 2.0 with Pages, a desktop publishing word processor of sorts. Did you order one?

If Mac OS X Tiger had been ready I would have ordered on the spot, except the Apple Store online was getting hit rather hard with site visitors and was actually down or as slow as peanut butter for awhile.

Still, when the dust cleared I had credit card in one hand and the mouse in the other. How about you? What’d you buy?

Take our anonymous poll. Tell us what you ordered. The list covers most of what was announced and ready for order.

iLife. Mac mini. iPod shuttle. FC Express.

To check out the list, and click in your response (more than one response is allowed, only one per day), Click Here.

To see the results on votes by other readers and Mac users, just Click Here.

As usual, there’s no cost, obligation, or special consideration. You may select more than one answer, but vote only once per day. What’d you think of the Macworld Expo announcements? Share your thoughts and wishes, hopes and dreams, disappointments and disillusionment with other readers. Click the Comments link below (still anonymous).
