Will You Let This Woman Handle All Your Searches?

I read about the Top 100 Search Engines to see how Mac360 ranks with the rest of the Mac world in search results.

Guess what? The sassy yet delightful Ms. Dewey enlightned me about online searches. All I can say is, ”give me more.” It’s the future of search.

Mac users are suckers for a good interface that’s easy to use. Maybe that’s why Google is so popular. It’s easy to use. It delivers plenty of content.

So it is with most of the Top 100 Alternative Search Engines. Sure, there’s Google, Yahoo, MSN, and, uh, um… what’s next? Actually, there’s plenty of search engines.

Seriously. some are excellent and have specific content which would take plenty of clicks while wading through the more popular but less intelligent search engines.

For example… uh, what’s that about Ms Dewey? You’ve heard of her? Let me get back to the sassy search vixen in a moment. For example, there’s Music Map.

You guess it. You enter an artist’s name and get an eplosion of related links. Click and you get even more. There’s also the requisite link to Amazon to buy albums.

We live in a visual age, and Like is a visual search engine which lets you find things that look similar to other things you may be looking for.

For example… um, Ms Dewey details in just a moment. Please be patient. Like shows photos of items and you click to find others that look like that. Simple. Visual. Different.

The Find is a good search engine to find things. Duh. Assume you’re shopping online and want to find a gift for a special someone.

We’d suggest you use the Mac360 Store (it’s really Amazon!!), but The Find returns good results, too.

Speeglebot is based in the UK and is an audio version of a Google-look search site. You’ll need speakers or headphones to hear what Speeglebot says. This one is a solution looking for a problem.

The Top 100 has other search sites, such as PlanetSearch which searches through other web sites. There’s nothing unique about that. Dogpile’s been doing it for years.

What’s the future of search engines for Mac users? Ms Dewey. For my money there’s absolutely nothing like a hot and sassy woman with an attitude about search.

Ms Dewey is a search engine like you’ve probably not seen before but are anxious to see again. The less-than-demure Ms Dewey is one step short of full interactivity, but sufficient to leave you asking for more.

Imagine a modern city scape fronted by a deliciously chocolaty young woman with a feminine chip on her lovely shoulders. That’s Ms Dewey, your search engine guide for the search engine of the same name.

I said you’ll be wanting more. Just trust me. This is the future of search engines. Well, maybe it’s the future of search engines that I’d like to see in the not too distant future.

Ms Dewey beckons you to enter something in the search field. She’s happy when you do, a little perturbed when you don’t do it again (I love that in a woman), and gets downright attitudinal if you delay your next entry. If you know what I mean.

If Ms Dewey is the future of online search, I see all sorts of possibilities. There just won’t be enough bandwidth or enough time. Please note that Ms Dewey is powered, in one way or another, by Microsoft’s Live Search.
