A friend has sent you a link to the following article: http://mac360.com/index.php/mac360/comments/1605/ I’m not a PC gamer, but I have games on my Mac. Some games are good, some are boring, some addictive, some free, some not. I didn’t buy or use a Mac specifically to play games. But I have games to play. I’m curious. What are your favorite Mac games? One of my favorites is of the addictive category, circa 1980s and Pipe Dream. MacPipes is a similar game which costs less money. The same software company also produces Germs and Boom. These are the kinds of games that are better for 8 year olds than adults my age. I guess I need a little brain-drain time, and immersing myself in a simple game helps to empty the mind of a day’s worth of stress. One of my absolute favorite online games is Wild West Online Gunfighter. It’s single or multiplayer game which requires tactics and strategy to survive. Not bad for free. My wife and I have a few games that we share. Absolute Backgammon usually wins over Scrabble. I don’t spell too well. {embed=“360adserver/content_rectangle”}Among the more addictive games on my list is Blackjack International. It’s an odd take on the Las Vegas style of Blackjack where the players are countries and each country bets with their own goods. Those same folks also make Imagine Poker, again, a twist on regular poker. You play against different characters of history. Cleopatra, Julius Ceasar, Dracula, Robin Hood, the Tooth Fairy. I’d like to see Bill Gates’ likeness in this game. I’d take him down. Kitty Spangles Solitaire is on my wife’s list of addictive games. It’s a little too much Hello Kitty for me. Another popular game that I’ve played on both Mac and Linux is Vendetta Online. There’s money involved with this one but it’s a small price to pay to become the pilot of your own spaceship, create your own characters, and blow things up. What’s your poison? Do you play games on your Mac? If so, what kind and why? What’s your favorite? Share your experience and bad habits in the Comments section below.
