A friend has sent you a link to the following article: http://mac360.com/index.php/mac360/comments/848/ If nothing improves without change, then the only way to get better is to change something. That works. Usually. Can you look at the Mac360 site and tell what changes are new, and what’s coming? Thanks to effort by Kate (MacKenzie) and Ron (McElfresh), Mac360 is sporting a more refined look and feel, inside and out. Outside you’ll find a revamped home page which features direct links to the Mac360 Forums, more feature articles, and links which tally both articles comments, and forum topics views. Inside, there’s been adjustments to remove old code, speed up page loads, and prepare for a full CSS layout. Mac360’s founder, Tera Patricks (1959 - 2006), wanted the site’s Forums to be a place of exchange between Mac users, so we’ll place more emphasis there. For example, registered and logged in Forums members now have access to three private forums that are not visible to those not logged in. This weekend, we’ll modify the home page just for for logged in members, and provide a more efficient listing of current and recent articles. The Members Only Private Forums will also have quicker access to response from the Mac360 staff. There’s no question we can’t answer. {embed="360adserver/content_rectangle"}Of course, it may not be the right answer… In the future, we’ll have special articles, how-to’s, and other information made available and visible only to logged in members. We truly hope you’ll take advantage of the Mac360 Forums. There’s never an obligation, plenty of anonymity, and lots of give and take. Register, log in, select or upload an appropriate avatar (photo of you as a baby, a teen, or former Windows user), post your own comment or add a new topic for discussion. Elsewhere, we’ve added a couple of additional part-time Mac writers to spread the daily work load at Mac360. Welcome to Kate, Natalia Nowak, Jeffrey Mincey. All have extensive Mac background and experience, and have lurked around the Forums for a couple of years. When Tera and I started the site a few years ago, we wanted our focus to be on reviews and commentary; our personal perspective of all things Mac and Apple. There’s been no challenge in gathering subject material through the years. The world of Apple is a constantly changing stage, but we want to remain true to our roots. Our challenge has been coordinating the effort required to bring you timely, appropriate, and compelling reviews, news, and perspective. Tera’s loss was tragic for all of us, and sad news for many thousands of our readers. We thank you for your loyalty and ask for your continued participation and communication with other Mac users and Apple watchers. If you’d like to give the Forums a try, Click Here to register. Then, log in, browse around and enjoy the company. If you’ve already registered, Click Here to log in and visit again. Please take a look at the Members Only Private Forums where Kate and Ron do their best to keep up with questions, topics, and tech support. We promise to keep our focus on Tera’s original dream, and provide you with a unique perspective on the Mac world and all things Apple.
