A friend has sent you a link to the following article: http://mac360.com/index.php/mac360/comments/906/ What is it they say? Everyone comes from somewhere. If you’re a former Windows user who’s now using a Mac, why did you switch? What’s your story? Why did you drop Windows? What’s better about the Mac? Not all of us have been Mac users since the beginning in early 1984. Maybe a few have of us Mac users have only used Macs and nothing else. If you’re a switcher who once used Windows, and now use Macs, why? What’s your story? The reason I ask is because a number of interesting confluences are taking place right now. The Mac platform peaked in the early 1990s at approximately 16-percent market share. Then Windows 3.x hit the streets. In the meantime, many loyal Mac users switched to Windows. Many PC users grew up with Windows, never even knowing the Mac experience. What’s your story? If you’re a Mac user now, why? When did your Mac experience begin? Were you a Mac user for years, then switched to Windows, then recently came back in to the fold? Were you always a Mac user, but dabbled in Windows at work or school, but always preferred using Macs? Mac OS X is not Mac Classic, versions 7.x, 8.x, or 9.x. Yet, most Mac users embraced OS X as the future? Are you still using Mac Classic in whatever flavor? Why haven’t you made the switch to Mac OS X? When will you? The popularity of the iPod has opened Apple’s famed simple design to tens of millions of Windows PC users who never experienced a Mac. The so-called iPod halo effect has Apple’s new Intel-based Macs selling in record numbers, market share is growing, and Apple’s stores now sell half their Macs to “switchers.” Are you a switcher? When did you switch to your Mac and why? What’s the real reason the Mac graces your desktop or backpack?
