My Mac is my digital hub. Every gadget connects to it. iPhone, iPod, printer, scanners, cameras, video cameras, Internet, and more. To be honest, my productivity is going down, not up. I think I know why.

Are Mac software bundles and promos good only for Mac users?
Sometimes I think the world is going bonkers, including the world of Mac users. Is it possible to get such a good deal on software that it could be considered stealing? How about if you pay almost nothing? Is it still stealing software?

There is a big difference between parcel post and next day delivery.
Do you buy online? Nearly $30-billion was spent in online purchases this past holiday season. I did my share and bought Mac goodies online with Apple, Amazon, and MacSales. It was easy. It just wasn't as much fun as using my Mac.

Leopard is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It's love and hate. Stable, unreliable.
The dust has settled and Mac OS X Leopard is entering the age of maturity. I hope. This adolescent operating system drives me nuts. Sometimes. Other times I'm so proud you'd think I coached Steve Jobs on the feature set. Leopard is the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of OS X versions.

Is it possible to delete anything on your Mac if you use Time Machine?
I haven't lost a document or file on my Mac in many years because I have a good, dependable, multi-hard disk backup plan. Like many Mac users, I welcomed Time Machine as a handy complement to my backup strategy. There's just one problem...

Why we continue the love and hate relationship with Mac OS X's cats.
I love my Mac. Sometimes I hate my Mac. Mac ownership sometimes is a true love and hate relationship. With Windows, it's the other way around. Hate comes first. With my Mac, it's love first, then tough love, then some things I think I love to hate.

More Mac owners are using web-based email in a browser. Why?
Most of what we do on the web these days involves email and browser. Browsers? Lots of choices. Email? Not so many choices, right? Apple and Microsoft. Don't forget your browser. It's becoming the email application for Mac and Windows users.

All instant messaging at work should have a video recording option.
It seems that everyone is using some form of instant messaging, text messaging, or chat these days. What a horrible waste of time. Keeping track of who is connected to what service is a pain.

The new iWeb is a good web site builder until things go horribly wrong.
Don't misunderstand. I like iWeb. I trust our family-oriented web site to iWeb and .Mac. There's much to like about drag and drop and one-click publishing of a web site. Until something goes wrong. Horribly wrong.

I like Google. So much is oh so free. Google search. Google maps. Google Earth. Google email. Google Desktop is free. You get exactly what you pay for. Why does Google do this for Mac users?

Storing video clips into Projects, Events, and Library is good. Editing?
I shoot a lot of video and use my Mac to save the clips and edit into mini-movies for family, friends, and business. I use FinalCut Pro. And iMovie. Both are good and have their place on a Mac. What about the new iMovie '08?
