1 Week With The Mac’s Aluminum Keyboard.

KeyboardWhen Apple introduced the new aluminum iMac, it sported a new aluminum keyboard, reminiscent of the integrated short-stroke keyboard in the new MacBooks.

Is this new keyboard good, bad, or just pretty? Is Apple going for style over substance or does the keyboard offer something revolutionary?

A new keyboard, like a new mouse, takes some getting used to. It’s often a matter of taste, and there’s not been much difference in the taste of keyboards, Mac or PC, for a few years. I’ve been using the previous plastic Apple.... (excerpted).

Just purchased new IMAC with aluminum keyboard.  Running parallels and Windows XP for work due to inability to get software for MAC side.  Keyboard problems on XP side in that CAP LOCK key will not engage/disengage - sometimes getting all lower case letters, some times even caps.  Works fine on MAC side.  Any suggestions?

I find the new aluminum keyboard very cool and comfortable, but I keep on getting those static shock everytime I come back to my desk! This is the only down part of it. I changed back to the old plastic because of the shock =(
