Life is full of love hate relationships. To love or hate something often requires familiarity. But then, familiarity often breeds contempt.
That brings me to the Finder in Mac OS X. It’s the built-in utility that lets Mac users navigate their Macs. It’s not the Desktop, which can be accessed through the Finder. Love it or hate it, the Mac’s Finder can do better for you without additional cost and little effort.
Remember familiarity? That may explain why we have the same Finder icon from the last century; that strange.... (excerpted).

Hi,
As for funny, I think it’s funny that people aren’t outraged that Finder won’t allow you to sort search results by File Location! In Windows I could do this whenever I wanted. For instance, I have all of my 10,000 photos residing in one folder heirarchy - or so I think. I want to make sure I’m right. So I searched for all the jpeg images on my mac, but for the list that comes up I’m unable to sort by folder location to check and see if any stray jpegs ended up in some other folder, which I suspect may be the case. It boils down to the fact that Finder only displays the three columns of “Name,” “Kind,” and “Last Opened,” and will not, can not, allow you to add anything at all, including “Folder Location,” to that list. Being able to do this would open up so much functionality. Why in the world does Mac omit it???
Sincerely,
Holly Love
