Don’t misunderstand. I like iWeb. I trust our family-oriented web site to iWeb and .Mac. iWeb is good enough that I decided to keep my near worthless .Mac account.
iWeb has some great features. There’s much to like about drag and drop and one-click publishing of a site. Until something goes wrong. Horribly wrong.
I’ve long wanted to do a family web site where other family members could contribute photos, movies, blog entries, and so on. iWeb ‘08 is barely a month old.... (excerpted).

I recently moved to Sweden and creating a website in iweb to promote my consulting business. As I created a website with 4 Quicktime videos and plus copy in one of the templates in iweb and sent them to my U.S. partners. I created them in Quicktime in low bandwidth as instructed and the feedback I got from people using windows is they can’t view the videos. The site was pretty simple and the videos were under 3 minutes. Can someone recommend a web program for someone with limited understanding of website design and production that I can use on my mac. I need websites that I can feed copy, videos and photos into designed templates. They need to load fast and be viewed by everyone. Thats why I bought a mac and I’m pretty disappointed.

Don’t use Internet Explorer or Windows. That eliminates a lot of problems. MSIE 7 is better than 6, though.

I don’t understand why some of my published entries (via iweb) don’t even show up in Internet Explorer. The page will load, but the majority of the entry won’t. Frustrating. Any thoughts on how to correct?

iWeb is great for Mac user web sites, but some Windows users may not be able to see everything on all the pages. Windows PCs will need to have QuickTime installed to view movies.
