Give Your Mac Secret Support With Xupport

XupportOne of the very first utilities I bought for Mac OS X oh so many years ago was little multi-purpose system utility called Xupport.

It gave me a single place to learn about OS X, dink around with the Mac’s hidden features, and find new ways to improve my Mac productivity without blowing up my Mac in the process.

Laurent Muller is the genius behind one of the Mac’s most popular commercial utilities. I would not go so far as to call Xupport a Swiss army knife (not ever.... (excerpted).

You can find so much on the internet today. Google, Wikipedia, are good resources for knowledge.

“Dink” from Wikipedia is a term used to mean “Mess With” as in “I’m going to dink with that until it works”.

See? That was easy.

I thought “dink” was a noun.

One thing I have learned in life and on a Mac of all things, If it’s not broke don’t fix it, if Safari is running fine then don’t tweak it. Xupport does sound like a cool tool but not for the novice Mac user that just switched if you ask me. I have had a few other software programs that sound just like Xupport that where free and they did some cool things but I would never pay money for them. I rarely ever shut my quad down and I use Mac-Cleanse to clean out the junk on my Mac. Just something about all these tweak programs out there for the Mac that gives me the creeps! I have allot to loose if one of these so called beef up your computer software programs where to screw things up.

I’ll pass! Good article though!
