How To Not Manage Serial Numbers On Your Mac.

LicenseKeeperLet’s face it, this digital age in which we live has some drawbacks that we have to think about and solve.

It’s tough to remember everything we need to remember, even to the point of remembering where we keep our software serial numbers, and licenses, not to mention login ID’s and passwords.

More than half of all Macs sold these days are notebooks, which means whatever you store could belong to someone else if your notebook is lost or stolen. Is that a thought that.... (excerpted).

I used to put serial numbers in individual text documents, then drop them into a folder of serial numbers. Then I made an AppleWorks database, which I later converted to FileMaker Pro. I still use that folder, though.

I use 1Password and using it to save and manage serial numbers sounds like a smart idea, but I’ve got nearly 300 Mac and Palm OS serial numbers in my database! So, how do I transfer everything without having to spend hours tweaking and cleaning it up??
