iNeeds To iTrack My iMoney On My iMac With iBank. iReally.

iBankSo you’re tired of Quicken, can’t handle the frequent bugs, and the overall lack of feature parity with Quicken on Windows, right?

Is there an iAlternative, a good iFinancial application for your Mac? Try iBank. It’s iFabulous.

Software to manage your money seems to be as varied as the ways we spend our money. If you spend it all, or spend it faster than you make it, is it necessary to track it?

We just did a review of the various Quicken alternatives. When it comes to reports, Quicken can’t be beat. Many of the reports that are absolutely necessary to get a loan are not even offered in the various alternatives.

I read some time ago on macworld.com about the coming Quicken that is supposed to be rewritten from the ground up and adopt a new iTunes style interface.

I love the alternatives in terms of interface and ease of use. Quicken shows its age with the dozens of windows scattered here and there. It’s an old UI that needs a major refresh.

I use Quicken for Windows extensively on my Intel Mac/VM Fusion.  It is buggy and drives me crazy, but does the job.  I would love to find something better - I’d switch in a minute(!) but Quicken BillPay is absolutely indispensable to my workflow.  As a result it seems I can’t migrate to any other software.  I help my mother with Quicken for Mac and tear my hair out.  It is lacking in so many features that are present in the Windows version.  A very simple (but hugely useful) example is the ability to sort the register entries by the reconciled checkmark.  I’d love a substitute but does one really exist?
