iPhoto Poll: How Many Photos Are On Your Mac?

It seems like a decade ago that Apple head Steve Jobs first began touting the “digital hub.” Music, photos, movies, PDAs, cell phones—all connecting seamlessly to your Mac (the hub).

Of course, it hasn’t been that long. It’s just that much has changed for many Mac and PC users in the past few years. The iLife suite began to bring together all the “digital” components we use each day. iTunes was a big hit. Then the iPod came on the scene.

The first big wave to sweep Mac and PC users was music; iTunes, iPod, iTunes.... (excerpted).

iPhoto from iLife ‘09 is a honker. I’m running Snow Leopard and have over 20,000 photos now. It screams. Nothing is better for the price.

RE:  What is the recommended capacity for a single Iphoto 09 Library?

Iphoto 08 was horrifically slow when I had too many photos.  I cannot say how many I had now.  It would take one minute
to rotate a photo!  I split my libraries into about ten libraries
and caused mayself a lot of confusion and loss of many mobile me galleries.  I thought something was wrong with my Imac,
so into the shop. Now I have 4 gig memory, and I am about to install snow leopard.

So what is the recommend number of photos Iphoto 9 can handle with 4 gig memory and Snow Leopard?

Snow Leopard
