I love a good bargain. Sure, I have a list of free applications for my Mac. There’s also a list of Almost Free applications for my Mac. They’re worth every penny. Are they worth twice the price?

We all have a few applications on our Macs that don’t cost a dime. Or a penny. They’re free. David Kocher’s CyberDuck comes to mind. It’s a great FTP/SFTP application that’s also free.

Most Mac developers who offer free applications do so because of their love for the Mac, OS.... (excerpted).
