Every week our Mac readers give us more of what they’re thinking. Here’s a sample. Firefox? About 20-percent of all our readers use Firefox and Safari is down to just about 50-percent. That’s a big change. Why?
Mac user “dawoodi” sums it up:
“I’ve started to use Firefox for some things (it works better than Safari or even IE for some of my banking sites.) The biggest niggle I have with Firefox is that it doesn’t use my Mac’s Location settings to get Proxy details.
This means I have to change the proxy by hand.... (excerpted).

I like how FireFox has tons of cool applications and pluging to download. I don’t have much experience with Safari but that is where it really shines. I think thats why we are seeing Google release a new web browser.
I can’t stand IE for a few reasons. But the biggest one is secuirity. Dear lord can Microsoft be any worse here? They still allow ActiveX controls which is notoriously a method viruses and spyware get on your computer. My computer got toasted so I had to download a program from Spyware Fix to fix it.
But getting back to the point my next computer will no doubt be a Mac. I love the iPod and the iPhone so I don’t know why I continue to use this crappy Dell. Viva Le Mac!
