Even in the digital age I use a scanner; actually, I use three scanners; an HP, an Epson, and a Canon.
I don’t use their scanner software on my Mac. I use VueScan. Is there anyone who knows more about scanners for Mac than Ed Hemrick? He’s the VueScan guru.
Scanning once was the way to go to get digital photos. Then digital cameras matured, improved, and dropped in price, and the scanner got used less and less.
The need to scan will probably be around for many.... (excerpted).

One thing you could do is contact Hamrick, the publisher of VueScan. It may be that he can develop an option, or recommend a setting that works with your printer/copier.

I have used VueScan in the past and was very satisfied with it.
Recently I bought a new ALL IN ONE HP, OFFICEJET PRO L7780.
Unfortunately VueScan does nor support this model. I contacted the software company and they have no plans to develop software for this scanner.
Silverfast does not support this model either.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did contact Hamrick and he told me that the workings of this particular HP Scanner were not available or to complicated, in any case, he had no plans to include this scanner.
