Less is more. After looking at password and serial number organizers I’m convinced the Mac platform is here to stay awhile.
There are plenty of options to store sensitive information on your Mac. Here’s what I like. Steel and Wallet and SecretBook.
We started the new year trying to think different by thinking less is more. In a few critical areas, I’m inclined to agree.

I have checked most of these programs and one thing that brings me back to my Excel is the SORT capability. I have 20 years+ worth of serial numbers for many thing and a huge number of plugins. With Sorting I would have to go through every version of a software to find the one I want. In Excel I have the database sorted on 3 different orders so everthing is in line. It is password protected and I do not see almost anyone really needing a 512 bit encryption on their data as long as their computer is not in a public place and not running every software without checking.
I think Steel works smoother than Wallet.
