Skitch, the screen-shot/image-annotation app with the built-in web-host, from Plasq, the makers of Comic Life.

ScreenFlow, the multi-award-winning screen recorder with the built-in video editor and lots of tutorial-oriented special FX.

Both perfectly exemplify your Time-Machine description: “Elegant, simple to set up and use, highly complex underneath, and, just works. The complexity is out of the way, the usability is right up front where it belongs.”

You could say the same things about, say, a house key. But is a house key FUN?

For me, the final proof of ultimate Mac-worthiness for each of the apps above is that, on top of everything else, they are simply fun to use, each and every time. Just like my Mac. (Mostly…)
