Can you remember when the Mac was first introduced in 1984?
Were there ooohs and aaahs about the computer that changed the world? Plenty.
For example, check some of these phrases used to describe the iPhone:
PC Magazine - “takes the breath away.”
CBS Late Show’s Craig Ferguson - “This is, this is… Wow!!... this is the biggest technological development since… curly fries.”
Walt Mossberg - “made my relatively new Treo 700p seem primitive.”
Real Money - “the major.... (excerpted).

I have always been a fan of apple products but my recent purchase of the iPhone has led me to believe that there is such a thing as over-thinking technology. It has come to my attention that the iPhone is not 100% silent when you turn the “Silent” switch on. If you have an alarm set, that alarm will go off even in silent mode. First of all, if you have a switch that is suppost to turn your phone silent, it should work. Its extremely inconvienent if you are in class or a meeting for their phone to go off. With million of things an iPhone can do, this is a very basic function that should be executable.
To compensate for this lack in basic feature, I tried setting an alarm through the Calendar function as an event. But once again, the calendar lacks the basic ability to change the sound and duration of the notification for an event. So if you do want the alarm to go off, its a tiny little “blip” noise that doesn’t do too much for notifying you.
I find this all very ironic since there is an application for just about everything and the iPhone is suppost to “enable” the user in just aboute every possible way.

DROPPED CALLS ARE AN AT&T PROBLEM (not an iPhone one) so
CALL AT&T EVERY TIME ONE OCCURS AND REQUEST CREDIT.
YES, I KNOW THIS IS TEDIOUS BUT IF EVERYONE TRIES IT…..THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS.
This is the only way they will ever take the customer seriously.
I called AT&T about their poor service. The rep said that I should have called at the time the call failed rather than compiling a detailed list for them. Okay…..... He suggested I switch which, of course, we will when there is another iPhone provider. But for now - I have a better idea. Let’s hold them to their agreement. CALL AT&T AND ASK FOR REFUNDS AND CALL CREDITS.
AT&T HAS BENEFITTED FROM THE IPHONE but they have not lived up to their part.

I am now on my second Iphone. My first Iphone was a work phone but I would have to pay extra every month for my web download usage so I decided it was better for me to get my own phone on a personal contract vuia Vodafone. Well, this new Iphone is two months old, I have had continuous problems with the screen and the phone would also send the same email 20 times over for no reason. Finally it gave out altogether so I took it into Vodafone to be repaired under warranty. Guess what! Today I have been called and told that my phone is not covered under warranty (2 months old) as it has suffered water damage. BullS**t… Not been near water, even remotely. I am living in a part of Australia that is suffering drought. Thanks Apple..Finally, I think the box the phone comes in show have a big sticker on the front staying FRAGILE..HANDLE WITH CARE..

First my phone start dropping all calls after a couple seconds. The rogers support guy instructed me to turn off the 3G network, and revert to the Edge. The next day the on/off button on my phone stopped working. It has been more than 3 weeks, and still no sign of a replacement. So much for warranties!!! Expensive data plans, a crappy network, and a ##### replacement experience. Way to go Apple and Rogers! One more satisfied customer!!!!!!

My iphone experience has been a disaster. Rogers wouldn’t sell the 16 GB to existing customers in the store (although they denied that, a Rogers salesperson confirmed that to me). I finally ordered one through customer service and loved it initially. Then I relaized that the battery doesn’t last for one full day of use. The internet speed isn’t anywhere near as fast as they claim and after 6-weeks, my screen has just died. Now I will probably have to have it sent away for weeks. I was about to convert from a PC to a MAC laptop for the first time in my life but screw that. This company has lost it’s way. Great concepts and design, but terrible execution and reliability. The creasingly bizzare control and secrecy is also a major concern. I am not buying anymore Apple products. I will probably replace my iphone with a Blackberry or Samsung Instinct. I hope Apple realizes that the great name and reputation they have build over the last 25 years, won’t take nearly as long to destroy.

Iphone 3G is the worst phone ever made.
Battery doesn’t last 8hrs.
Aplle says to fix this essentially turn off wireless, 3G,Push email etc.
Gee, why don’t I just get an Ipod.
Email retrieval is horrible under Microsoft ActiveSync.
I’ve just put it on call forwarding to my Blackberry.
IT IS BAD.

having just purchased the ipone on contract through O2, in england, i am to the least annoyed, i have been a O2 customer for 9 yrs, when they convinced me to take out a new 24 month contract and get a new iphone i thought yeh why not, apple are one of the biggest companys in the world, so they must have a good product, how wrong was i, after only less than 3 months my new iphone, which is still under warranty, decided not to turn on one day, so i spoke directly to 02, which they inturn told me to speak to Apple, i told apple the phone would not switch or do anything else for that matter, they said they would pick it up ,which they did the day after, i then received an email 2 days later which stated, due to acccidental damage or misuse they would not repair the phone, so i got straight onto the phone to apple, and asked them what was going on, they said it had water damage, i could not believe what i was hearing, the phone from day 1 has been looked after like it was a new baby, i had bought a leather case for it, also put on a protective screen on the glass front to stop any scratches, made sure it was looked after at all times,so i know for sure it had not been near any fluids of any kind, i told this to apple but they would have none of it, they said it would cost me £146.00 to have it repaired, i told them that was not on ,but they did not want to know, i am now stuck with a phone which does not work and 21 months left on a contract i cannot use and still have to pay for,i want to know how the hell they can get away with this, or do they expect the common man just to lie down and do nothing, i thought APPLE were a major company who should look after its customers, am i wrong ?
