Remember the original Mac’s “Crash Bomb”? It was that cute pop up window that told you your Mac crashed. It was cute, but not funny.
With Mac OS X crashes are rare, but happen. So what do you do when your Mac crashes?
It’s usually not a pretty site, and it’s becoming more rare as Mac OS X matures.
Sometimes, I’ll leave my Mac running for weeks at a time without rebooting.
A Mac application may die here and there, but Mac OS X keeps churning away, working fine.
Today’s Mac OS X crashes still give us a warning..... (excerpted).

I have a problem, well a big problem, with my mac desktop.
I got those ‘you must restart your computer’ messages, and I did and went back to see if there’s anything I could do to rid of those messages.
I stopped getting them for awhile, but then I got another one, and when I shut down my computer, I figured it’d be okay if I turned it back on, I’d just figure out what’s wrong.
But it didn’t turn on.
The power would be on, but it wouldn’t be running right, it was very soft and not louder like it normally is.
It was just a black screen, which obviously means it crashed for good.
Is there anyway to get it back? I know with Windows you can, for my old HP crashed countless times and I got sick of it and got a mac, but it crashed!
I just hope there is some way I can get it to ‘come back to life’ because otherwise, I lost everything.
Please help?

Paige, that sounds like a hardware problem. Take it back to the nearest Mac store.
