You’re a closet Dashboard Widget user just like me, right? I confess. I use Widgets. I prefer not to admit it in mixed company.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on Widgets, the Hillary Clinton of Mac OS X utilities. I like the Widgets that do something nice, don’t get in the way, and don’t cost much.
My favorite Widget this week is one that is sorely needed for a mother of two rapidly approaching over-the-hill status and sliding down the ramp of forgetfulness into.... (excerpted).

My favorite so far is Delivery Status. It tracks packages from just about any store or business. A close second has to be the widget Gas. The prices today are astronomical and that widget finds the lowest price in the area.

Actually there is a “Nannycam”—SecuritySpy. It’s available as a standalone program and Dashboard Widget. (http://www.bensoftware.com)

WOW! I do want to let you know, Alexis, I was eating a tomb stone pizza when I started reading this. LOL, ya got me on this subject! But yes this sounds like the widget I’ve been wanting and I am going to get it right after I post this.
And as for Hillary, I would not be surprised if all her viruses came from bill surfing porn sights. And let that be our thought for the day. Just cracking a joke, I am considering voting for her though but I don’t want to get into politics on Mac360.

By far the best widget I have on my system—an arguably the most useful widget I’ve found out there—is QuickCal. It uses natural language to set up appointments and tasks. It may not have the most people face but it works terrifically.
