What’s In Your Wallet? Fix The Mess With A Mac.

WalletOrganizing our lives requires even more organization. Some computer tools that claim to help us organize actually require an ongoing class to teach us to organize.

Not so with the Wallet twins—Documents and Receipts. What’s in your wallet or file cabinet? Fix the mess with a Mac.

There was a time when I may have resisted using my Mac as the top dawg organizing tool it can be. Slowly, the Mac became my digital hub and began collecting, storing, and sometimes.... (excerpted).

I personally scan all my documents such as receipts, warranties, paid bills, bills that need to be paid off of my HP all in one fax machine then I send what ever information into my documents where I have folders for everything, if I come across a new document that needs to be scanned that does not have it’s one folder category then I make a folder it. This method might be a bit prehistoric but it works fine for me.  Not saying receipt wallet is bad or anything but this kind of thing I can do on my own with out spending extra money for software. I also encrypt my hard drive so I feel allot safer from a hacker even if they where able to get in (you never know!). I am not sure if receipt wallet encrypts. I have read that it is not a good idea to encrypt a desktop in case of a power failure because if the computer is in the process of encrypting and rudely gets shut down it is possible to loose all data, so I run a three hundred dollar UPS that I have Mac os x set to shut down my quad after 10 minutes of a power failure. That way I know my computer will safely finish what it is doing and then shut itself down. But I must say, another good article by, “Kate MacKenzie!”

Thanks for the review of ReceiptWallet and DocumentWallet. One thing that is a bit inaccurate is that DocumentWallet was discontinued in March and incorporated into ReceiptWallet. So users that purchase ReceiptWallet get the benefits of both document and receipt management in one program.
