I’m always looking for new ways to use my Macs. Graphics, music, photos, accounting, browsing, databases. The Mac has no end of uses.
Grabbing photos of super models off the Internet? Now, that takes work. Click. Surf. Browse. Click. Click. More Browse.
It’s rough work but someone’s gotta do it, right?
Isn’t there a better way to get photos, any kind of photos, from Internet sites without having to click, click, click all over the place?
Yes, Virginia. There is life after click, click, click. Here’s the skinny, uh, the “scoop” on checking out Internet photographs without having to click, click, click.
Today I downloaded the latest version of iScooper from Inventive Software. iScooper lets you “scoop” up photos on the Internet and download them to your Mac for viewing.
Can’t you do that with Safari or any browser on your Mac?
Yes. Click, click, click, click… you get the idea. With iScooper, all you need to do is enter the URL of a page with links to all the photos you want to view. Then, click.
Notice that that was just one click.
Here’s an example.
Who’s Laetitia Casta? She’s a French beauty super model who’s face (and other body parts) shows up everywhere on the Internet. The downloads of her photographs have probably not harmed her modeling career at all. AskMen.com voted her the Most Beautiful Woman In The World recently (their judgement slipped with Charlize Theron this year).
Are Miss Casta’s photos worth viewing? You be the judge.
Here’s a link to enough Laetitia Casta photographs to overheat your eyeballs (not to mention other body parts).
By my count, that’s about 18 photos on each of six different pages. That’s over 100 photos of Laetitia Casta in every postition and clothing you can imagine. And plenty of clothing that leaves little to your imagination.
How many clicks will it take you to go through all those photographs? At least 100 clicks, not to mention the right-clicks necessary to save the photos, right?
Then, think of how many clicks you’ll make going back to make sure you saw every inch of every photo. There’s hundreds and hundreds of click possibilities from that single link.
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to click once and get a whole bunch of them downloaded and sorted and stuck into a slide show? In one click?
That’s what iScooper does.
Download iScooper. Install (you get 10 free uses to try it out… you’ll only need one) it on your Mac (the bigger your Mac’s screen, the better). Copy the link above (or the one below) and paste it into iScooper.
Click the “Scoop” button.
Of course, in our neverending search to provide Mac users with appropriate reviews of software and links to interesting sites:
