Apple promises 2007 to be a great year for new products. iTV. OS X Leopard. Faster Macs. iPod with widescreen video.
What about Apple’s cell phone? Does this video look familiar? Will Apple’s iPhone look like iTalk in the video below?
YouTube does a great job of capturing the past and giving glimpses of the future.
Nearly everyone expects Apple to introduce a cell phone in 2007. It’s not if, it’s when. Early 2007 seems to be the highlight of the year.
Apple’s streaming media device, the so-called iTV? Early 2007. Mac OS X Leopard? Early 2007.
How about a pure video iPod with a widescreen? Unless we get a surprise in time for the holiday season, I look for it in early 2007.
With the exception of Mac OS X, Apple’s new products are aimed at Windows users.
iPods, iTV, even the Mac (with the ability to run Windows) are aimed at WIndows.
Apple sold over 30-million iPods in 2006. How many cell phones would the company sell if the phone was also a full-fledged iPod?
Will the phone be just a phone with iPod and iTunes synchronization built-in?
Or, will Apple’s phone be something else, perhaps incorporating full screen VoIP video, in addition to iPod and cell phone functions.
What’s the list of features you’d expect Apple to incorporate in a cell phone?
The commercial below came from our friends at YouTube, thanks to someone with a fertile imagination.
The only problem I have with the fantasy video is the number of hinges. Apple’s phone will be simplicity personified, so don’t look for so many flip open options.
What about you? How do you think Apple will design a cell phone?
iPod capability is a must, as is iSync synchronization. Will that include syncing to Windows PCs? How about iChat-like video capability?
What’s on your list?
