There is one thing in a Mac user’s life that never changes. Time keeps marching on. We time time with timers. We add alerts and alarms to timers.
Some Mac users (me) even collect digital timers, alarms, alerts, stopwatches, and counters. Well, dear Mac lover. I hit the motherlode. The mother and sister-in-law of all things timers, clocks, counters, and stopwatches. 36 of them. Cheap.
Countdown To Whatever Whenever
With time moving as quickly as it does, I’m of the firm belief that your Mac can never, ever have too many apps that tell time, count time, count down, count up, track time, and time events.
That’s especially the case if there are alarms and alerts attached to said timers and clocks.
At a basic level, this collection of two apps and 36 different clocks and timers is overkill. But it’s cheap overkill. At an average of about 25-cents each, you can get more digital clocks, timers, alarms, alerts, and timing gadgets than you’ll probably need. Ever.
The motif is decidedly geeky, syfy-like, with a definite Star Trek TNG decor, circa 1989.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and he’ll be happen to help you change the color schemes during the off season.
Now it’s time to get serious.
This dual collection of Mac timers, clocks, count down (and up) apps, packs some serious feature creep. Dozens of color themes. Stopwatch. Countdown timer with alarms. Full screen mode.
Wait. There’s more.
Titlebarless window mode, a millenium StarDate, 12 and 24 hour time, sound effects, an almost 100 hour countdown timer, progress bar, flashing indicators, elapsed time after countdown completes, and a whole lot more.
All this (and the part about a whole lot more) is in two app collections, TimePlus and ProTimerPlus, and both are cheap, though the former is more so than the latter.
The only negative is that you have to use the Mac App Store to try and buy (at the same time) because there’s no try-before-you-buy option. That’s a shame, but if you’re a Trekie, you’ll cough up the few dollars just to have a Star Trek-like set of clocks and timers on your Mac.
