Today’s free app review wouldn’t get me enough money for a nice dinner out with my wife. That’s not to say that this functional app with the name Functional isn’t all that functional (it is), but it is clever, and useful, and priced correctly considering the value.
Functional Adds Functionality
You may have guessed already that this cleverly functional utility actually carries the name Functional. What Functional does is what you already know how to do on your Mac.
You know how to Log Out from your Mac, right? Or, Shutdown. Or, Sleep. Or, Restart
These are basics for Mac users. The only problem is all those extra finger movements to log out, shutdown, sleep, or restart.
Oh, the humanity of it all. Look at all the wasted effort to move the Mac’s screen pointer to the Apple menu in the Menubar.
Then you have to select the proper function from the drop down menu. Seriously, what was Apple thinking?
There’s got to be a better way. There is. And thy name is Functional. Here’s the old way to log out, shutdown, sleep, or restart.
Add Functional to your Mac and your Dock gets four icons with specific functions.
That’s it. You were expecting more?
Hey, Functional is free.
Instead of moving the Mac’s screen pointer all the way up to the Apple menu, and then going through those select motions ad nauseam, Functional brings the same functionality to the Mac’s Dock.
Log Out, Restart, Shutdown, or Sleep are icons in the Dock, and one click performs the functionality which once was reserved for the Apple menu.
Isn’t that exactly the kind of functionality you’d like in your Mac? Or, you could try 1 App With News, Weather, Alarms, Events, And More.
