Being an experienced Mac user with a genetic gift which turns me into the crime fighting Value Vixen&trade’ after dark; a steely-eyed woman of the Mac world who scours the country for cheap Mac apps whether you need them or not. Displaperture, anyone?
Take A Look At My Curves!
There’s just no doubt about it. Sometimes my work is entirely too easy. Free is high on my list of criteria for new Mac apps. So is elegance and usability. And, retro stuff.
Retro? Yes, retro, meet Displaperture, the Mac app you probably don’t have, more or less don’t need, and does absolutely nothing for your Mac except bring back a little of yesteryear.
Yesteryear? Yes. Displaperture does to your new MacBook or iMac what Apple once did to all Macs.
Rounded screen corners. Quick. Look at the top right or top left of your Mac’s Menubar. No rounded corners for you! Apple took them away a few kitties ago (I think it was whatever was before Leopard), but you can get them back for free.
See? Rounded corners.
You’re getting all nostalgic already. I can hear your tears rolling down your face. I was choked up, too. I feel your pain.
That’s pretty much all Displaperture does. Rounded corners on a Mac screen which was not intended to have rounded corners. The settings give you options for which corners, and you can adjust the radius of selected corners.
It’s not going to affect your productivity, or enhance your efficiency, but it might bring a tear to your eye as you remember the glory days of Macs with CRTs.
And, Displaperture is free. I’ve done my deed for the day.
