It’s difficult to not like the price and convenience. Here’s one of the first affordable Mac outliner apps that shares files almost everywhere you want an outline to be, including iPhone and iPad.
Outliners Get No Respect
As much as I hate to admit it, I’m definitely old school when it comes to outlines. It was hammered into my head by my school teacher mother as a good tool to help a person think.
What was hammered into my head a few decades ago continues to bear fruit today because everything I do in business starts with an outline.
Mac users have had outliners for years. Some are very expensive and have a nasty learning curve.
Others keep to the basic (usability is important) and don’t stray far from the outlines we learned back in school age days.
Allow me to state for the record that an outliners best friend is ubiquity and usage. If you use an outline to map out ideas, plans, projects, or whatever, then Cloud Outliner brings your outline to Mac, iPhone, and iPad, all synchronized nice and tidy with iCloud.
Cloud Outliner uses the Mac’s built-in Autosave function so you’re not likely to lose an outline you’ve been working on.
Outlines can be saved in PDF format, and comes with checkboxes which display and hide outline items.
The included Evernote synchronization means you can have an outline anywhere, Mac or PC, iPhone or iPad (even Android devices).
There’s fullscreen support so you can concentrate on the outline without being bothered by incoming email, flashing alerts, or notifications.
Of course, Cloud Outliner supports the standard OPML format for import and export, so outlines can be used in other outliners.
The two best features, though, are iCloud support, and inexpensive versions of Cloud Outliner for iPhone and iPad.
