Wouldn’t it be cool to capture photos of every important event throughout the day? Your iPhone can almost do that with the Days app, a veritable photo diary in your pocket that makes it easy to snap events and moments on the go.
The Daily Photo Diary
iPhone owners can choose from dozens of diary apps, though the Days app does something a bit different. It’s a visual photo diary that creates animated GIFs.
For whatever reason, animated GIFs have made something of a comeback this year, and Days uses the GIF format to capture photos quickly.
Days saves photos to the iPhone camera roll, and the in-app diary gives you the option to browse through photos taken in previous days.
And, yes, it’s a modern day social app, too, and lets you share your day in images to Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, or iMessage and email.
There is also a built-in commenting system so you can get feedback from family and friends on your photos.
Days has plenty of Emoji options, too. And, it works with either the front or back camera on most iPhones.
The concept of capturing photos of events throughout the day is intriguing, and Days is a decent step toward that controversial goal.
It also means you need to whip the iPhone out of your pocket or purse with annoying regularity each day to capture worthy events.
That also means your day has worthy events to capture, and that you’re willing to share photos of those events with others online (not a requirement, of course).
There are a few questions that could be asked, though.
First, do we need to capture so many events in photos and share them with others? And, secondly, is there an easier way that dragging out the camera all the time? And, finally, does anyone over 30 really care?
