Fonts are like music. There’s a font package for every taste, every need, and every pocket book. The latest to grace my Mac and join the thousands of others has a creative name.
First, it’s a package of fonts. Second, the fonts are free. What better name to have for a package of free fonts than, well, Free Fonts.
In this case, 128bit Technologies cobbled together 56 original fonts complete with a commercial use license for home and business (although with a limitation on the number Macs where they can be installed.
To get the fonts you’ll need to hand over your email address, and first and last name. That puts you on an email list so you’ll get future fonts for the same package.

The MacAppware fonts are good for Macs or Windows PCs (going all the way back to Windows XP). The company also sells premium fonts– a generous number for a nominal price– and wants to get on your good side and create a little emotional obligation with a package of free fonts.
Not a bad collection and priced totally right for font hounds in a troubled economy.
