How can a liquid make your Mac work better? Short of building in a liquid cooled radiator to keep the Mac cool, it can’t. Liquid the app can.
Liquid is one of those unique, geeky-like, power user tools that makes quicker work of lookups, sharing, copying, converting, even translating and calculating– all from the Mac’s keyboard.
A One-Window Productivity Machine
Liquid is a bit difficult to describe, hence the minimalist description on the Liquid developer’s web site.
Think of a small search-like window that pops up on your Mac’s screen when you hit the right key combo.
From the keyboard, you can search through different search engines (faster than in Safari), look up specific words or phrases, convert, share, copy, translate, and calculate.
All without a mouse click or thumping on the trackpad. Liquid presents a slightly different paradigm for useful utilities, especially search.
But you get instant access to dictionaries, online translations, and much more. Liquid is so simple to use, so convenient, that you’ll wonder why you didn’t try it earlier.
But it’s different. This is what it looks like.
For example, select some text on your Mac’s screen, hit Command-Shift-2, and choose a command from the Liquid bar.
Liquid thrives on keyboard shortcuts, but they’re basic, abbreviated, and highly usable, and much faster than using the browser’s search window.
If you use the browser search window each day, then you’re likely to be a candidate for Liquid. It’s just better, but you have to try it first because there’s a bit of a geek factor to overcome (keyboard vs. mouse clicks).
