No, printing is alive, if not quite as well as it once was. We still print documents and photos, and create cards, flyers, envelopes, posters, certificates, invitations, and whatever else hasn’t been transferred to PDF files for mass consumption.
Here’s a way way to improve your printing efforts on a Mac.
Get A Mac Print Life
Printing from a Mac involves one or both of these printing categories. Printing documents. Printing everything else– photos, cards, flyers, certificates, posters, invitations, envelope and package labels.
You get the idea. It’s one thing to print a report, but it’s an entirely different effort to print something that involves a little creative communication.
That’s where PrintLife comes it. This is a Mac utility, an app that helps you to create and print all the above non-document, non-report stuff that involves graphics, barcodes, business cards, labels, and the like.
PrintLife as a downloadable package comes with over 5,000 images (over 7GB in size) in 300 DPI resolution.
Built right into the app are over 600 project templates, 150 business card templates, more than 300 templates for reports, labels, envelopes, even fax covers. Here’s a sample of what you can do with PrintLife.
PrintLife comes with frames, shapes, tools, photo masks, printing effects, alignment guides, rulers, grids, and inspectors for graphic and text elements.
It even supports business card stock, label stock, and envelope printing. What’s not to like?
For starters, the user interface. It’s a bit sophomoric. Second, PrintLife works the same way other products I’ve used from Chronos work– a little on the buggy side.
What To Do?
Printmaster 6 Platinum which comes with thousands more templates, tens of thousands more clip art images, a robust user interface (more tools), and a whole lot more, so much more that you may be overwhelmed.
Therein lies the only real negative with Printermaster. It tries to do everything that has anything to do with printing from your Mac.
Still, the components are everything you need for a small office or home office to make sure your printed documents look as good as the professionals.
