Thanks to Apple’s generosity, here’s a great gift idea for anyone who knows a Mac-toting student, middle school, high school, or college.
Generosity? Apple’s iWork apps– Pages, Numbers, and Keynote– are free on each new Mac. All a student with a Mac needs are Pages templates, Numbers spreadsheet templates, and Keynote presentation templates. Here’s how to get over 400 templates. Cheap.
The Gift That Keeps On Giving
What is missing from Apple’s iWorks apps? Templates. Sure, Apple provides a few, and they’re typical Apple– colorful, useful, professional.
What every Pages, Numbers, and Keynote user needs– and there are many students who could benefit from these– is a large library of templates.
That’s the Design For Students package. For barely the price of a trip to Starbucks, you get over 300 templates for Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and iBooks Author.
The bundle is easily installed on any Mac running iWork ’09 apps (or newer). The templates are packaged for students, but many of the templates will also benefit a small home office.
The package comes with 210 template designs for Pages, 40 spreadsheets for Numbers, 40 slideshow themes for Keynote, and 20 book templates for Apple’s iBooks Author app.
All the templates can be customized and each one is available in standard U.S. and international paper sizes.
The Designs for Students package of templates is available from the Mac App Store, but the app developer has other packages of templates for Apple’s apps. They’re good, of course, but once you see the low price of the student package you’ll see why it’s a good gift giving idea.
