Then I’ll check out the price tag, and if there’s a trial available, I might take it for a spin for awhile. That’s exactly the procedure I took for my latest Pomodoro app buddy; free and cleverly named.
The Might Pomodoro
Who among the Mac faithful doesn’t have a need for Reminders, or Todo lists, or even task and project managers. We Mac users are a busy race and we need apps to help us be more efficient.
So it is with a little pride I introduce you to Tomighty, the desktop timer and task app with the price tag you’ll love.
Tomighty is billed as a Pomodoro app. Pomodoro is Italian for tomato, hence the name, Tomighty. Clever, no? No?
The Pomodoro Technique, on the other hand, is a time management method which dates back to the 1980s. It uses a timer to break down work periods into 25-minute intervals.
There isn’t much going on with Tomighty beyond the cute logo which blends a tomato-based kitchen timer with tasks. It lives in the Menubar which makes it easy to start a work period and stop a work period.
Tomighty features configurable times, a simple Pomodoro counter, configurable sounds, and it displays the remaining time in a work period in the Menubar.
It’s nicely done, simple, useful, and if you follow the Pomodoro basics, you’ll probably be more productive on your Mac.
