How many photos have you stuffed into iPhoto which are just not worth sharing? Here’s a way to turn them into digital artistic masterpieces that you’ll want to share with others. All it takes is a few clicks.
PicSketch Delivers Picture Sketches
Grab a portrait photo from your iPhoto collection and drop it into PicSketch, the Mac app which changes photos into artistic sketches.
Presto, Voila! You get what looks exactly like an artist’s sketch of the subject in your photo. It’s that easy.
As easy as it is to create stylized art in PicSketch, there are a number of useful controls to alter the appearance of each sketch.
You can define the pen color and size, change the background, colorize the subject, and even apply a moisture effect.
PicSketch comes with 15 pencil sketch styles to apply to each photo which then recreates the sense of a pencil drawing. You also get controls for contrast, brightness, and more.
There is nothing complex about using PicSketch, either. Controls and options are obvious and almost as easy to implement as enhancements on a photo in iPhoto.
Finished artwork can be uploaded and shared online, too, including Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
PicSketch is well done and puts out attractive artistic sketches from almost any photo (works best on portraits, but even some scenes can be created as sketches).
