All calendars are not created equal. The number of calendars in use throughout the world is an impressive number. Think Hebrew, Chinese, Julian, Buddhist, and many other. Here’s a Mac app that easily converts dates from one to the other.
Calculate The Dates
Isn’t one calendar enough for most of us? Yes. Probably. Maybe. But not always. While much of the world uses the Gregorian calendar, plenty of other calendars are in use, too.
There may not be much difference between the Julian and Gregorian calendars, there are substantial differences between other calendars, hence the need for a converter.
That’s what The Calendar Converter app for the Mac does. It converts between the world’s great, and not so great, calendars.
Converting dates from one to another is actually very easy. Select the calendar to convert to. Enter the date, and you’re done.
The Calendar Converter displays the date for each calendar on the list, 15 calendars in total.
Available calendars include: Bahá’í, Buddhist, Coptic, Ethiopic, Ethiopic Asmete Alem, French Republican, Gregorian, Hebrew, Indian Civil, Islamic, Japanese, Julian, Mayan, Persian and the Quaker Calendar.
That should be enough for most of the rest of us who need more than the Gregorian calendar. You’ll spend more money for lunch at McDonald’s.
