What do we really hate about email? The volume and the spam and not necessarily in that order, right? There are times when I’m sure email is a scourge, punishment from angry Gods. So, why would I advocate a way for you to create your own email spam?
One Man’s Spam…
Perspective and paradigm shifts kinda sorta mostly go hand in hand. When it comes to irritating apps on the Mac, one man’s spam is another man’s marketing campaign tool.
That’s what HTML Mailer is. You can call it a spam generator tool if you want, but it also has useful capabilities to send newsletters and useful information to the masses.
Mail on your Mac comes with a variety of useful templates to create some attractive messages, greeting cards, and themed email.
But HTML Mailer goes a few steps beyond giving you options to change fonts, drop in photos and links, and create a true email newsletter or marketing campaign with simple drag and drop tools.
Face it. We already get plenty of HTML messages in our email from places like Target and Macy’s and even from Apple. Sometimes they’re useful, sometimes not so much.
There’s a certain simple satisfaction from being able to make your own creative message in the form of email spam.
HTML Mailer’s tools are straightforward, but you have to think before you drag and drop. Layouts with color, photos, and messages can be customized to match the Contacts list on your Mac (or, import a standard comma delimited list file).
Once you create a message template it can be reused again, but customized and refreshed. While it’s mostly a drag and drop, copy and paste effort, you can dig into HTML code if you wish.
We may hate getting spam, but what is spam for one is a great message to someone else. So, choose wisely.
