The advantage of using the Menubar is that utilities and tools and other apps are merely a click away, regardless of which app you’re using on your Mac at the time. Take Calendar. Puhleeze. I want a way to get a calendar view with a click. This app does that.
Pop And Ye Shall Receive
PopCalendar is nothing more than a one-click way to view a calendar on your Mac, specifically Calendar (formerly known as iCal).
There’s not much to PopCalendar, and maybe that’s the beauty of this inexpensive Menubar utility.
Click the icon in the Menubar and you get a drop down calendar from your Mac’s Calendar app.
Click on a month and then a day of the week and you get to see more details for events from Calendar.
And, well, that’s it. PopCalendar gives you faster access to view what’s next or what’s coming up in Calendar and nothing more. Totally nothing more.
Despite PopCalendar’s low price tag, what I’d like to see is a one-click way to add an event to Calendar without having to open or switch to Calendar first.
Otherwise, PopCalendar is nice and all, but you may like Calendar even better. It’s free and gives you a single click way to view Calendar items, subscribe to specific Calendars and see a single day of events without even clicking (just hover the screen pointer over the day).
