Today, Mac, iPhone, and iPad users are deluged with gloom and doom from another source– the cult of Apple critics, who worship at the altar of marketshare, who decry Apple’s demise before the coming Android armageddon. Cult, indeed.
Laughing To The Bank
Apple users can be called zealous, even zealots, but Tim Cook’s reign as chief honcho should put to rest the notion that we’re members of some kind of cult.
There just are not too many cults with half a billion or more discriminating, money spending, well educated members.
Actually, those who cry Apple’s demise is pending are more likely members of a literary cult, one that has faith in doom and gloom where no facts are in evidence.
Take Apple’s most recent financial numbers.
Those are not the numbers of a company in trouble. The Windows PC industry is down, the Mac thrives. Samsung struggles to make a profit and cannot count the number of devices it ships with any accuracy. iPhone sales explode.
In a quarter where Apple traditionally slumps, the company destroyed the negative estimates from the cult of naysayers, crushing revenue and profit estimates. Again.
Who would have thought bears were members of a cult?
Then there’s that poor cult member who said AAPL stockholders should buy when the stock dips after earnings. That was right before the stock exploded nearly 10-percent. AAPL is up nearly 30-percent over the past year.
Apple has so much money that it gives tens of billions of dollars in dividends to stockholders, buys back many hundreds of millions of shares of stock, and still doesn’t know what to do with all the money.
To the the many members of the cult of Apple critics, where is the evidence of your doom and gloom predictions? Methinks your faith in the technology occult has loosened your contact with reality. Who pays you to write the scathing yet highly inaccurate criticisms of Apple’s future? Samsung? Google? Microsoft? Face it, cult of Apple critic members, your faith in doom, gloom, and destruction cannot save you from Apple’s math.
