The problem with email is that there’s so much of it, it’s incessant, and we feel a sense of urgency to view messages and respond instantly. It’s like texting only worse. Maybe Apple has taken a cure from Dart, a clever Mac utility which makes responding to email lightning fast.
One of the main problems we have with email is frustration. We’re frustrated by so many messages that take up so much time to respond to that the whole process is no longer enjoyable.
Enter Dart. This Mac Menubar utility is a teeny tiny email app with pre-determined, pre-defined responses so you can view a message and respond to it with a click.
There’s more going on with Dart than just easy access from the Menubar. If your recipient uses Dart, too, then messages responses are even faster, communication more precise– that saves time and effort.
If you’ve seen email and text pre-defined responses for Apple Watch, then you’ve seen what Dart can do. It works one of two ways. You setup pre-defined responses to messages that can be invoked with a click. Or, if you need a specialized response to a message, Dart limits the response to 200 characters. Efficiency times precision equals productivity.
You can see the value to using Dart almost immediately. Thankfully, there’s an iOS version of Dart coming soon– almost half of my email is answered on iPhone or iPad these days. And, Dart’s sophisticated elegance explains why a Watch app is in the works.
For Mac users, Dart is essentially zero-config. It works with Mail.app, iCloud, Gmail and other mail accounts. It’s a faster, easier, more efficient way to deal with email. And it’s cheap.
