Hungry You, HungryMe
Recipe managers come and go, but here’s one you’ll like using and it doesn’t cost much. It’s called HungryMe, the recipe tool for true blue foodies like me.
What you get is a bare bones, no nonsense recipe app that begins life with 90 preloaded recipes from all over the world; Andalusian Shrimp Pancake to Mexican Bean Soup to Welsh Rarebit, divvied up into a variety of categories; snacks, treats, desserts, veggie, vegan, soup, sauce, and more.
Unlike MacGourmet, which is loaded with visual stimulus that is totally bad for a dieter, HungryMe is mostly text based (photos can be added), recipes and how-to’s.
There’s also an iOS version you can carry with you (iPhone and iPad) which lets you carry the recipes with you so you can hunt for ingredients on the road.
HungryMe won’t wow you with bells and whistles, and that’s probably helping to keep the price tag so low, but if you want an inexpensive way to capture good recipes quickly and easily, and have them all sync up nice and simple with iCloud, HungryMe is a good place to start.
