Pretty much everyone uses a todo list; whether it’s a piece of paper or a Post-it note, Stickies on a Mac, Reminders on OS X or iOS devices, or any of the twenty eleven plus todo lists that range from free to an arm and a leg, we love to use todo lists.
Here’s a todo list you can love because it looks and works as if Stickies fell in love with Reminders and their first child was called To-do Lists. It’s affordable and runs on Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Use It, Or Lose It
To be brutally honest about using a todo list, it isn’t so much about which todo list you use, it’s about actually using it to keep track of what you need to do. So, discipline is the first order of todo list business. Second on the list is an easy way to make a todo list and that’s where To-do Lists becomes greater than the sum of the parts.
To-do Lists looks like Stickies on your Mac so it starts with an inviting interface that’s also familiar. Lists can be translucent, rolled up, or float on screen, and background color, text, and boxes can be customized.
One click adds or removes a task on the list and you can create multiple lists; easily displayed on the Mac’s screen, but easily hidden. To-do Lists handles in-text links Rich Text Format, and syncs and plays nice-nice with Reminder and Dropbox so each Apple device can remain in sync.
Not only is To-do Lists familiar, it’s almost as easy to use as Stickies but comes with really useful features that go beyond Reminders.
Lists can be printed, saved, shared, and exported from within To-do Lists. Lists works in OS X Services menu so they’re available from within any running Mac app. It’s always fun to check off todo list boxes, which you can do in To-do Lists, but there’s reminders built-in and they contain multiple timing options, and you can add to Calendar from within the app itself.
There’s not much to not like here. To-do lists is familiar and easy to setup and use. It doesn’t cost much, runs on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and syncs up reminders and lists with ease between each device.
Priced right. Works great.
