Got something to do? Got a checklist or a to-do list? Most of us do. I haven’t done an official count, but I think there are more to-do list and task manager apps for Apple customers than there are word processors and notes apps.
One I came across recently is one you may like, especially if your to-do items are more checklist items. I love checklists because I derive some dopamine induced pleasure from, well, checking things of my lists. Lists? Yes. You have more than one list, right?
To-Do. Tasks. Lists.
All three of those get lumped into roughly the same thing. Whether a simple grocery list, a reminder to do one thing, or tasks that grow in number to become part of a project, we all make lists, manage tasks through lists to get things done.
For less than a couple of bucks Checklist Pro does that. Make checklists. Add them to categories. Add reminders. Check the weather.
Weather? Sure. Why not? If we have to come somewhere to do something and its on our checklist as a to-do or task, why not know the weather first?
That’s a stretch, but the convenience is worthy. Checklist Pro takes notes, has options to change date color and background color, create reminders and categories (good for putting tasks into projects) and even move tasks to other days and categories.
Not bad for a few bucks.
Apple gives Mac users similar capability in Notes and Reminders which synchronizes between Mac, iPhone, and iPad (and Watch for Reminders) but that’s two separate applications, and, typical Apple, there isn’t much customization available.
Here’s what would make Checklist Pro even better. First up, a spot in the Mac’s Menubar for easy access. Second, an iOS version so tasks, checklists, and to-do items– however you prefer to call them– goes wherever you go.
Otherwise, not bad for a few bucks, and from an app developer with a stable of useful applications.
